Charlotte Edna Holmes was born the 21st day of December 1925. After several medical problems, Edna left this earth to be with her loving Jesus at 1:00 am on the 9th of June 2012. She went to see her husband Clyde, who died on May 17, 1956. Her two children, mother, and father are surely smiling from heaven with her. Her purple church clothes and clip on earrings will surely shine along with the gold streets. You can believe she will do her best to shine the brightest. Edna lived in Del City for over 57 years. All of us kids were raised in Del City and her beloved Del City First Southern Baptist Church. If the doors were open, Mrs. Charlotte (EDNA) Holmes was most certainly there. She attended many funerals over the years and served at most. Now it is her turn to be served and honored for all the time and love she spread throughout the church and all her friends and family. PLEASE BE CERTAIN THAT HER CHURCH WAS HER LIFE. Edna is survived by her sister Alice from Powell, Wyoming and her son Michael from OKC. THE VIEWING WILL BE HELD MONDAY EVENING AND TUESDAY FROM 8AM TO 8PM AT FORD FUNERAL SERVICE, 305 S. SOONER RD. Funeral services will be at First Southern Baptist Church at 11AM on Wednesday 6-13-12. We encourage all to wear purple in her memory. Interment will be at Sunny Lane Cemetery at 4000 SE 29th St., Del City, OK.
