September 5, 1933 - September 19, 2020
Archie E. Napier passed away Saturday afternoon, September 19th, 2020, at his home in Oklahoma City. He was surrounded by many loving family members. Archie was born September 5th, 1933 in rural Coweta, OK to Opal Beatrice ‘Quinton’ and Thomas (Tom) Melvin Napier, Sr. Archie would spend his childhood years in Barnsdall, OK. Growing up with a brother, Richard Carl Napier, he naturally took to sports. Archie loved sports and he carried this with him his whole life. After graduating High School, Archie would go to work for Phillips 66 on December 27th, 1951 and would remain with them until his retirement on June 1, 1994. A few years after joining up with Phillips 66 he would marry the love of his life Bonnie Jean Monigold on Halloween in 1953. They would raise four daughters togethers. Archie was a good Christian man, and he shared those values with his daughters. He was a loyal husband, loving father and grandfather. Archie enjoyed being active. He was an avid golfer, bowler and huge Sooner fan. He loved watching OU basketball, softball and baseball, but most especially OU football. More than OU sports, he adored his grandkids. Never missing any event if it were up to him. Driving 1 hour to see a 3-minute wrestling match was worth it to him. He always wanted to be there, cheering on his family. Truly his greatest passion in life, Archie loved to travel. A passion he shared with his wife. Archie was always the driver. Something that Bonnie never minded. They would visit all 50 states and many foreign countries. The two of them went on many adventures together and enjoyed them all. Archie is preceded in death by his parents Opal and Thomas Napier; sisters Iwanna Ross, baby sister Willella Napier, and twins Ramona Tucker and Lavona Shreffler; brother Thomas Napier, Jr; great-grandson Slade Henderson He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Bonnie Napier; brother Richard and wife Mary Lou Napier; Daughters Debbie and husband Bobby Walker, Sherri and husband Rickey Lee, Diane and husband Mike Tobiason, Brenda and husband Joe McGehee; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
