Ellen Elaine Patton

September 6, 1949 - February 8, 2022

Ellen Elaine Patton of Midwest City, Oklahoma passed away on February 8th 2022 at the age of 72 surrounded by her family. Ellen was born 09/06/1949 to Hercell and Imogene Kelley. Ellen grew up in the small community of Rose Hill in Eastern Oklahoma, where she met the love of her life Richard. The two were married on April fools day of 1965 and were happily married until his passing on July 2nd 2012. Ellen’s two sons Rick and Robert were the highlight of her life. In addition, mom was passionate about her faith and family and nothing brought her more happiness than her growing family of Grand Children and Great Grand Children. Our mom’s first real job began at the Midwest City Board of Education where she made many lifelong friends including her bestie, Sue Morrison. Several years later the family moved to Stigler Ok where she joined the Stigler New Sentinel. Her last employer was the Midwest City Sun where she worked until she and dad formed Patton’s Auto Transport retiring in 2010. Traveling was also a huge part of mom’s life. Not only did she travel the states in the front seat next to our dad, she also had many travel experiences with her sisters, cousins and mother. Her world travels included a trip to England with dad and another to Germany with her cousin Karen. Ellen was also a proud member of Highland Park Baptist Church where she served diligently for many years. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Richard, parents Hercell and Imogene Kelley and Brother-in-law John Wade. Ellen is survived by her sons Rick (wife Tracy), Robert (wife Ramona), her four Grand Children, Kailee (husband Jesse) Riley, Lena (husband Clayton) and Jake. Five Great Grand Children, Cooper, Kylee, Zane, Nash and Elijah. Along with Sisters, Nieces, Nephews and many family members and her lifelong friend Sue Morrison.
