Gary M. Hancock

Gary Miles Hancock, 75, of Midwest City, passed away on July 4th, 2021. Gary was born on April 16th, 1946, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Evelyn and Harris Hancock. He attended Lawton High School and then went on to study at Cameron University where he received his associates degree. Gary had several careers throughout his life including working at Coca-Cola, grocery supply, even owned his own business in construction and a pawn shop. He finished his career path at Rose State College as a maintenance supervisor after 14 years. He lived in Indianapolis, Indiana briefly before moving back to Midwest City. Gary loved OU football, riding his Harley, fishing, and constructing projects for friends, and loved ones. Though he was a stubborn man, he was always there when someone needed him. Gary was known as a Jack-of-all-trades, and a master of none. Gary is survived by his son Gary Todd Hancock and his children, Robert Kinnett, Dyllon Hancock, Aden Hancock; grandchildren Brody, Kaiden, Tripp, Bellamy, and Braelyn; nephews Jeff Walker and Lana Walker; nieces Shelly Anderson and Cindy Walker/Lonza, as well as his many close friends from Rose State College and Roger Boulware. He also leaves behind his beloved pet Blue, the sweetest little dog with one blue eye. Gary is preceded in death by his parents Harris and Evelyn Hancock and his sister Sharon Walker.
