Karen Anne Marshall Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Karen Anne Marshall, 79, passed away peacefully after battling a long illness on May 24, 2022. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 1, 1942, to John C. (Bucky) Jones and Florence Jones who later moved the family to Lakeville, Massachusetts in her senior year of high school. Karen was the second youngest of five siblings. She worked for over 30 years and retired from Texas Instruments as a material handler. While Karen loved Massachusetts, she moved to Oklahoma in 2015 to be closer to her daughter Sandra. As a single parent, Karen was a devoted mother. Most know that her world was her only daughter Sandra. Together they shared the love of duckpin bowling, playing sports, fixing things, bingo, camping trips, travelling, pets, prime rib dinners and everything that life could offer to the mother/daughter duo. They traveled the East Coast from Maine to Florida, to as far west as Texas. Later in life, Karen and Sandra would become frequent cruisers to the Caribbean. Growing up in South Boston, Karen was a true Boston supporter as she was a huge fan of the Red Sox, and New England Patriots. She always enjoyed visiting with her siblings and being a part of her nieces and nephews lives as much as possible. Prior to her move to Oklahoma, she made annual trips along the east coast and Oklahoma in her motorhome to visit family. Auntie Karen will be remembered by many for being strong, independent, funny, dedicated and forgiving woman that she was in life. Karen is survived by her daughter Sandra Marshall; sister Sandra Reardon; sister Alice Richards; brother Al Jones plus many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her brother John (Buddy) Jones, parents John Jones and Florence Jones and her beloved cats Momo, Toby, Sweetie and Buddy.
