Louis "Louie" Lopez Martinez, 79, of Midwest City, OK passed away at home lovingly surrounded by family on May 26, 2022. He was born on May 30, 1942, in Deerfield, Kansas to Grace and Carlos Martinez. Louie grew up with a big family as he had 19 brothers and sisters. He graduated from Deerfield High School in 1960 and loved participating in all the sports that the school offered. Louie attended college at Kansas University and in 1974 finished with a degree in Commercial Art with a minor in Marketing at Central State University. He was united in marriage to Marilynn Martinez on June 22, 1988 and was married for 33 years. Louie served his country for 8 years in the United Sates Air Force as an Airman First Class. For most of his career, Louie worked for James Fields and Associates as a salesman for business forms. He had many hobbies which included singing in the church, karaoke, gardening, playing pool, ping pong, and horseshoes. He also enjoyed using his skills to draw or paint. His favorite channel to watch was Fox News and enjoyed watching OU football with his friends. He made sure to watch all OU and Thunder Basketball games. Louie had a knack for writing short stories about putting things in a Christian perspective that he loved sharing with others. It was Louie‘s passion to share his love of Christ with others. Though we are sad that he is gone and will be greatly missed we know without a shadow of a doubt where he will be spending his eternity and that is with his Lord and Savior. Louie is survived by Marilynn Martinez, Kelley Carson, and husband Eric, Rondie Miller, Paul Casperson and wife Amy, David Bradford, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren with 2 on the way. Five of his 19 siblings still remain. He was proceeded in death by his daughter Michele Bradford whose passing was on 5/13/22 and 14 siblings.
