Mildred (Millie) Louise Fisher of Oklahoma City, OK widow of Jerry Lee Fisher passed away at 1 pm, Monday February 22, 2022, after a brief illness. Millie was born February 13, 1939, to Harold and Mabel (Ancelet) Johnston of Macomb, IL. She grew up in the Macomb, Bushnell and Good Hope, IL area, marrying Jerry Fisher in Macomb on July 29, 1957. They traveled with the Air Force ultimately settling in Oklahoma City after tours in Albany, GA; Altus, OK; and Sembach, Germany. Millie is survived by her son Stephen Fisher and wife Suzanne of Wheaton, IL, and daughter Sandra, wife of Michael Ransome of Freedom, OK, grandchildren Shea Lynn Ransome, Colin, Hannah and Erin Fisher; sisters Mary Keck and Donna Weber, and brother Eugene Johnston. Millie took great joy in and was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren, endlessly supportive of their many interests, serving over the years as scout leader, art critic, baseball and softball cheerleader, and rodeo grandma. She was an avid reader with a goal to read her local library. She loved to quilt and cross stitch. Millie's up to the minute weather reports and annual Christmas cards are legendary. We miss her greatly. Visitation will be held on March 4 from 6 to 8 pm at Ford Funeral Home, 305 S. Sooner Rd., Midwest City, OK. Services will be March 5 at Candlewood Chapel at 10 am, 315 S.
