Sherrie Lynn Brannon Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sherrie Lynn Brannon, 71, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on February 15, 2020. She was born July 29, 1948, the only child of Thomas and Florence Hoffman of Wheeling, West Virginia. She spent much of her youth with her cousins, Wyatt and Jody Hoffman, who she considered her brothers all the days of her life. At an early age she developed a love for singing, dancing, and playing music, learning to play both the piano and organ. Sherrie made Midwest City, Oklahoma her home in the early 1970s. She became a member of Meadowood Baptist Church, and it was there that she met and married Paul Brannon, taught Sunday school, and loved serving the Lord by playing keys in the church orchestra. Over the past 40 years, alongside Paul, Sherrie found great joy and took a deep, loving interest in her children’s activities. She served as a dance recital backstage coordinator and ‘mom’ with Furman-Gray Dance, later became a Bomber and Outlaw ‘mom’, all before receiving promotions to her favorite roles as grandma and great-grandma. Sherrie is survived by her husband, Paul Brannon; daughters Lorie Wade and her husband Bill of Edmond, OK, Jamie West and her husband Thomas of Midwest City, OK, Melissa Berres and her husband Aaron of Brentwood, CA, and son Josh Brannon and his wife Kayla of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren Hannah Rowe and her husband Matt, Rebecca Fieth and her husband Seth, Connor-Dale West, Jacob and Samantha Wade, Ava and Dylan Berres, Micah, Joel, and Luke Brannon; great-grandchildren Brynden, Jordyn, Addyson, Asher, Scottye, and Torryn; and puppy Cooper. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meadowood Baptist Church Building Fund.
